Looking for early 80’s childrens song tape?
I had a tape of children’s music when I was very young. I would have gotten it no later than 1985. The cassette itself was orange, and came with a small paperback book with lyrics and illustrations. I’m 99% sure it wasn’t Disney, because I can’t remember the voices being Disney-ish, but hey I could be wrong. These songs were definitely on it: My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean Jimmy Crack Corn Frere Jacques Camptown Races Skip to My Lou
These were very possibly on it as well, but I’m not 100%: On Top of Old Smokey I’ve Been Working on the Railroad She’ll Be Coming ‘Round the Mountain Polly Wolly Doodle Shoo Fly Take Me Out to the Ballgame The Bear Went Over the Mountain London Bridge It Ain’t Gonna Rain No More Home on the Range
It could be a WEE SING Singalong tape. They have a lot of different styles i.e. WEE SING camp songs, WEE SING Bible tunes etc… They’re generally sung by children with a few adults.
